Founder: Kevin Clive
I live in San Antonio, Texas with my beautiful girlfriend, Ashley, and our goofy dog, Beau. I am the product of 2 hard-working and loving parents, and 3 inspiring siblings. We were raised in a disciplined, adventurous, and athletic household, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play on athletic fields of every type. I was fortunate to go on to play 4 years of Division II football at Hillsdale College in Michigan, and upon graduation I attended Medical School at University of Cincinnati. I graduated in 2007, joined the ARMY, and began my Surgical Residency down here in San Antonio that summer. About 2 years into residency the “itch” for competition returned, and I found CrossFit. I ditched my “globo-gym” membership and built a garage gym. After 6 months of training at home, I immersed myself in the local CrossFit community and found some wonderful friends and elite coaching. This paved the way for opportunities to compete with some phenomenal athletes in the 2010 and 2011 CrossFit Games Southwest Regional competitions. The friendships, coaching, and life-experiences gained from this newfound lifestyle have inspired me to continue my research in nutrition and programming, and to share it with others. This site is intended to serve as a resource for others in the community with interests in optimizing health and performance, and I hope that it serves as a means to help others meet their health, fitness, and sport-related goals.
